A joint exhibition of photographs from the
Creswell Collection in the Rare Books and Special Collections Library of the
American University in Cairo and the Islamic Art Network (IAN) Photo Archive.
The Exhibition was held at the Sony Gallery for Photography, Adham Center from December 22nd, 2003 to January 29th, 2004 and is still on exhibit at the Rare Books and special Collections Library.

Prof. Zahi Hawass’s Statement
Professor K.A.C. Creswell's work on Islamic Cairo is an indispensable tool
for the restoration and conservation work going on in the city at the
moment. It is also the basic resource for the study of Islamic architecture
in Cairo. The Islamic Art Network of the Thesaurus Islamicus Foundation, the
Rare Books and Special Collections Library, and the Sony Gallery are to be
thanked for their effort in putting this show together, to honor the work of
Prof. Creswell, and stress the need for constant attention to the marvels of
Islamic Cairo.
